New details of the Skenderaj assassination Ilir Zeqiri may have been killed for a large debt

Security cameras located at various locations across houses and the “Adem Jashari” complex are thought to be the last test that could whiteen Ilir Zeqiri's fate from the village of Kopolic the Top Squirrel.

Principal Witness, H. L, the one who called the police on the fire talking about Gazette Express says he didn't hear any bullet noises, but that he had seen smoke around 5:40.

How did the whole case happen?

Like any other day, 48-year-old Ilir Zeqiri had come out to work as a taxi driver, a job he has been practicing for more than 20 years now.

But it would rarely have left the workplace much earlier than usual to go to his home in Skenderaj from where he would stay until about 4: 00 p.m. He would leave without telling anyone where he was headed.

His brother Ismail Zeqiri, sergeant in the Kosovo Police, says he had received a call from the late man's son yesterday after the same had not been announced for several hours.

The close family is claiming to have no information as to whether it might have received a call or where it was headed.

My family's telling me that around four o'clock it's out of the house. He's out in town with a job. We're not sure if anyone called me by car or not. Our son calls me on the phone. He tells me if there's anything that Dad's out of at 4 and then he picks up the phone. Our friend claims she hasn't told anyone you've been calling just because she's coming down to work like any other day, at least we don't have any information. Half an hour later, he was called in and there started his family's doubts when it wasn't announced to”, Zeqiri is declared, adding that he had no information that his brother might have problems with someone.

This is even more disturbing for us as a family than we've ever been able to notice either I or my wife, who has had trouble having regular contacts but never has a problem, and I never believe Ilir has a problem with someone”, he says.

The brother of the deceased claims that Ilir Zeqiri's taxi job did not bring him profit while showing that seven years after the war, the veteran of The KLA, had lived in a shelter in Skenderaj.

From his own family, Express learns that they have doubts that it might be an old debt that a deceased person had. As it becomes known, there is a greater amount than $70,000.

Even education veteran Aziz Abazi says Ilir Zeqiri was very hardworking.
