Daily Consumer Prices Increase

Many consumers say they have noted that in the Kosovo market there have been price hikes, and mainly products that they say have marked increases are those of daily consumption.

Blerina Hajdari from Pristina says prices on the Kosovo market have marked raises in recent months.

She says that during the daily and monthly purchases she made in her five-member family, the prices that have mostly marked increases have been observed in basic products.

I've noted the price hikes of such basic products as milk, bread, flour, meat, in general I think there was an increase in tax, but that the rising prices of consumer products was also ahead of tax”, Hajdari says.

The latest data released by the Kosovo Statistics Agency shows that the rate of inflation measured in March 2019, compared to March 2018, was 3.3 percent.
