Constitution is violated by the very ones who approved it

It has been eleven years since Kosovo has been done with its Constitution through an unusual form of voting only with applause. But shortly after MPs' enthusiasm and roar, the highest judicial act would be violated by the very ones who approved it.
Even the highest state institutions, such as Parliament's president, have been found in constitutional violations. Eleven years later, the Constitution continues to be challenged by internal actions, not to find implementation in a part of the territory that is populated by the majority of Serbs, while the decision-making mechanism that this document has provided, in many cases, has been shown blockades, writes Koha Ditore today.
On April 9th 2008, former Parliament Speaker Jakup Krasniqi had outlined the adoption of the Constitution by 107 votes, by 120 Parliament deputies. But then, at least four of the lawmakers had declared not to participate in the vote. This is due to the failure to allow a parliamentary debate on the document, but also the form of non-usual voting.
The highest legal document was adopted just two days after the content the Constitutional Commission had drafted had been certified on the part of international civilian representative Peter Feith, the man who was internationally responsible for overseeing independence declared on February 17th 2008.
