Kosovo on 12 smiling marks 20th anniversary of NATO troops' liberation and entry into our country
To honour the main international personalities that contributed to Kosovo's intervention and liberation, the three former Kosovo presidents -- Fatmir Sejdiu Behgjet Pacolli, Atifete Jahjaha and current president Hashim Thaci -- will organise grand receptions in Pristina on 12 June.
The entire organisation has been entrusted to former Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga. It will deal with sending out invitations to these personalities.
In this ceremony, as the Balkans teach.info teaches, two former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Hillary Clinton are expected to participate.
At the time of Kosovo's intervention and liberation, Mrs. Albright was a secretary of state and the leading US official, who gave impetus to the start of NATO bombings against Serb targets.
On the other hand, Mrs. Clinton was the First Lady of America, since her husband, Bill Clinton, held the president's post. In addition, Hillary Clinton, even when he was a secretary of state from January 21st 2009 to February 2013, made extraordinary contributions to strengthening Kosovo's independence and citizenship in the international arena.
That the two former secretaries were invited to be present on June 12th in Kosovo, has not denied the office of former President Jahjaga.
In a response to the Balkans.info, Jahjaga's office has said they are in the process of creating the guest list for the event, which they think will be published over time.
On March 26, 2019, the Kosovo government has made a decision to establish the Organising Council for marking the 20th anniversary of NATO's entry into Kosovo. This council is led by President Jahjaga. The Organising Council held its first meeting yesterday, and is in the process of creating the guest list for the event. Other details of the event will be published by”, reportedly in response to Jahjaga's Balkan office.info.
On June 12th, Kosovo marks the 20th anniversary of its liberation by the Serbian occupationator. This date is also officially marked as the entry and takeover of Kosovo's territory by NATO forces.
