CKUK patients are controlled twice because of old devices

Due to extraordinary devices, patients in the Radiology Clinic, operating within the framework of the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo (QKUK), t dealt twice with an examination. All of this because the results of the initial examination may be wrong. Ymer Glory, radiology specialist at the Radiciology Clinic at QKUK, [...]

Jimire, radiology specialist at the QKUK Clinic, has told “Zerin” that because of the old device, they have sometimes had technical problems. According to him, errors in examinations are possible because of the large number of patients and the age of devices.

The number is too large for patients and, given the age of the device normally, some technical problems we have, not to say every day or week. It's a problem to draw something more quality into the University Clinical Center, like the White Office. Often, it may even fail an opportunity, so the guilt remains little and less in our devices. The challenge is normal, that is inevitable, and when you see that volume. This is where error is more than possible”, he said.

While speaking of the large number of patients doing tests at this clinic, Ymer said that just on April 8th of this year for less than 6 hours at this clinic, 52 tests have been conducted. We had 52 patients with radiologic tests, including those of clinics, ambulances and emergency cases, which have been described as having two or four tests, or more. So 52 people who are counted with some tests, for example. The endocrinology clinic has 3-4 examinations, including Toraks, upper, lower extremes, spinal cord”, he said.
