Shortly after the massacre in Drenica, Flora Brovina had sheltered many families, including Sheriff Jashar's family.
“was Sheriff Yasar's family and the patient had the opening wound on the chest and exit on the other side. Sometimes I have sent him to surgeons, but sometimes I have treated him myself. There were even foreign teams in Kosovo. The first photograph of this Jasarash patient was when I was connecting the wound and since I had a little broken finger that my sister had seen the movie, then she told me, I saw the film, careful”, Brovina says.
In an interview for KTV's Rubik Brovina told of her wartime experience as a doctor.
I never thought child poisoning could happen. The Kosovo war started with children, someone prevented the doctor from working, someone the patient. There was no obstacle to me because I wanted to find the truth. I remember in the ambulance, sometimes I got the diagnosis and I didn't write it right about observim and I put it in a letter in my cloak pocket because they had to have it elsewhere but in medical records”, she said.
I was quickly expelled from work”, Brovina recalls.
