After the fall of the self-declared Islamic state potassium in Syria and Iraq, countries worldwide are struggling with how to deal with militants and their families seeking to return, Kosovo reports.
“C, 24, is suspected of criminal acts of organising a terrorist group, forming illegal and joining paramilitary or foreign police formations and terrorism”, the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
The Bosnian State Court has tried and sentenced 46 people who have returned from Syria or Iraq in recent years.
Local media identified the suspect as Ibro Cufurovic from the northwestern town of Velika Kladusa, who, along with Armin Curtin, 22, from Sarajevo, was arrested by Kurdish militia more than a year ago.
The prosecution said his return received help from the United States as well. The United States is an ally of the Kurdish militia operating in northern Syria.
According to Bosnian intelligence, in 2012-2016, 241 adults and 80 children left Bosnia or the Bosnian diaspora to go to Syria and Iraq, where 150 children were born.
About 100 adults, including 49 women, remained there, while at least 88 were killed or died.
During today, even in Kosovo, 110 people have returned from areas of the Syrian war.
