Civil society has appealed to both of them to leave behind and sit down to agree on the state position before this meeting, Koha Ditore writes today.
President Thaci has not responded to calls, and Prime Minister Haradinaj has stressed that the position he represents is also the position of the state of Kosovo for dialogue with Serbia.
“I think that the position the Government of Kosovo has maintained is the stance of Kosovo”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said after the government's meeting. “I'm hoping we won't be disassembled with the president. I hope we're not going to have a dissonance, but there's no change in the attitude the country's government has consistently maintained”.
Kosovo's dialogue with Serbia will be the main theme of the summit, which German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron has for the host. It takes place at the time when the final stage of dialogue between these two countries is located. Serbia has decided not to participate in it, as long as the Government of Kosovo does not lift the 100 per cent fee imposed on products of Serbian origin.
