State authorities are seeking to identify the location of the bear.
According to a Kosovo Environment Protection Agency report, several state institutions including nongovernmental organisations have gathered and discussed finding the bear.
“The DAPK Shaharı after being informed about the damage caused by the bear has immediately informed the leadership structures of the Ministry of Environment and Space Planning, as well as the Kosovo Environment Protection Agency. We have held continued meetings with MMPH/AMPC institutions such as the Kosovo Institute for Nature Protection, Environment Inspectorate and Nature Division, where it has been discussed in the possibility of finding solutions”, the report said.
The Prizren municipality and the Association of Hunters “are included in this issue. Sharri” in this municipality.
“Within these efforts DAPK “Sharri” has held continued meetings with the Prizren municipality's local institutions, respectively, with the Directorate for Emergency and Security, the Directorate for Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, then with Kosovo Police and the Sharri Hunter Association in Prizren”, the announcement continues.
Communication says that “during these meetings has been discussed with the taking of immediate measures to be taken to protect residents of Pousca village through continued 24-hour Kosovo Police patrols, PK Sharri officials and the Sharri Hunters' Association, at this location and at the moment the bear's identification is made contact with bear officials and Bear Park in Mramor Pristina for the possibility of treating the bear. ”
Residents of Prizren's Pousca village are reportedly in trouble by a brown bear, who had been killed by hunters from the same area a few weeks earlier by four of her cubs.
For a few weeks now, residents of this village are facing the vengeance of the bear they're suspected to have raged upon.
And I've got my bear up to the pole, and it's constantly been brought around the barn”, says one of the village residents, as it goes on to describe the bear: “It's completely black but it's got a white color on its neck. ”
A few days earlier, the bear had killed 20 Demiri sheep in this village. One member of this family relates how they intimidate the bear through the pyrotechnic tools.
When we light this [the pirotechnic tool, v.j] and then shoot it, it goes, but it comes back in an hour”, says member of this family.
And now there is a sight of the attack that the bear has made on the livestock of the village.
