AAK renounces North elections

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo says it will be committed to the election process for the heads of four municipalities: Northern Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposaviq, Zvecan, to be conforming to the standard of democratic norms and in accordance with rules laid down by law for free and fair elections.
After consultations conducted with the leadership of our branches in these municipalities, the AAK has made the decision not to have candidacy in these elections and its voters will be completely free to support better candidates, despite their political and party affiliation”, the AAK says.
The Central Election Commission is in the phase of preparations for extraordinary mayoral elections in four municipalities in the northern part of Kosovo, northern Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok and Zvecan, to be held on May 19th.
Central Election Commission today confirmed for Periscope that so far for elections in the north has only applied PDK.
