A court in China has pleaded guilty Friday and imposed jail sentences on 47 retired soldiers, who had staged protests as a sign of dissatisfaction with their very low pensions.
The case has occurred in two Chinese provinces, Jiangsu and Shandong, reported on Friday “Al-Jazeera”, transmits “Koha Ditore”.
Retired soldiers were convicted of undermining public order and calm on behalf of protecting personal interests and sentenced to more than six years in prison.
The ruling Communist Party in China (KPK) has implemented extremely strict rules for public gatherings in the country.
Retired soldiers have expressed disappointment over their pensions and have complained that the state has not offered them adequate support despite years of serving him.
