According to journalist Franco Quintano, ANSA correspondent in Belgrade who interviewed Vucicin, correction came as a result of a misinterpretation. “In agreement with the Serbian presidency, we published a correction of the first version of the interview”, Quintano told Deutsche Welles. The first version was not the right one. It was a performance problem, and it could happen with interviews in different languages”, Quintano noted.
In the corrected version of the interview, Vucic was quoted as saying that “if a compromise is not reached with Kosovo, this would be a disaster.” Vuciqi reiterated the condition for Serbia to continue dialogue with Kosovo, the removal of a 100% Kosovo-based tax on Serbian goods. “Although it seems difficult and sometimes even impossible, we are forced to find a compromise, I am sure, that with the help of European friends and with the support of Russia, America, China and other countries we can find a solution. ”
