Vetevendosje warns protest for Dialogue Platform

The Kosovo Assembly yesterday in an extraordinary session has approved the platform for dialogue, which the opposition rejected. MP Albulen Haxhiu from the Vetevendosje Movement has told Telegrafi that this platform will be sent to the Constitutional Court. “We have rejected the resolution voted in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo and the bill [...]

MP Albulen Haxhiu from the Vetevendosje Movement has told Telegrafi that this platform will be sent to the Constitutional Court.

“We have also rejected the resolution voted in the Republic of Kosovo Parliament and the draft dialogue bill, and we are working with high intensity to send it to the Constitutional Court. This, since significant parts of this law conflict with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, and of course we consider the platform unacceptable to the fact that in no case the platform guarantees that the territory of the Republic of Kosovo will be non-negotiable”, it has said.

Haxhiu stressed that recognition from Serbia would have to be a precondition for entering negotiations.

The “for Vetevendosje is unacceptable to talk about recognition from Serbia at the end of the whole process. Recognition should be a prerequisite for entering negotiations with Serbia. Both recognition and apology, and the return of the found, would have to be the precondition or demands of the state of the Republic of Kosovo towards Serbia before any round of talks. So we as Vetevendosje oppose this”, it is expressed.

Among other things, MP Haxhiu has warned protests about the platform, saying they do not see only the Constitutional Court, which would make opposition to the platform.

Whatever the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo did yesterday was a contribution or a tendency to distinguish Hashim Thaci's desire in his dangerous adventure of territorial exchange. Of course we will send him to the Constitutional Court, but at no time do we view the Constitutional Court as the only institution where we can make our opposition next, because seeing the current situation we are convinced that protests and demonstrations are necessary. So we're going to challenge these dangerous projects, whether with protests”, she stressed.

Haxhiu questioned on the date of the protest has said that the bodies of the Vetevendosje Movement establish this.

You remember the September 29th protest that has been massive for Kosovo citizens, so citizens with their resistance at this protest last year have made it clear that they oppose Hashim Thaci's trades. First if at that time we have said that a people are not subject to a man, now they're pretending that a people are not in subjection to a team. Therefore, we are convinced that there is a willingness of the citizens of the Republic to protest dangerous projects that are facing the country. On the other hand, of course, the date of the protest is taken from Vetevendosje's bodies. I can say that we are ready to protest, and if it goes as the situation is going, the protests are inevitable, necessary”, Haxhiu has declared.
