At the House of Representatives Military Committee, Shaahan, questioned whether the US wants Turkey on the F-35 programme, said they absolutely wanted Turkey to buy “Patriot”.
Washington rejects Turkey's plans to buy a Russian S-400 air defence system.
In Washington, they say Ankara cannot have advanced aircraft and S-400, unidentified officials told Reuters, adding that the US could soon freeze preparations for sending F-35 to Turkey.
