Former politician Veton Surroi has given an interview to the Serbian newspaper Blic after being a guest in the “Paradigma New Kosovo and Serbia” Forum for Ethnic Relations”.
Surroi, among other things, has stressed missing people during the Kosovo war, who are proving to be forgotten in the dialogue process in Brussels. He has considered the entire dialogue process as non-serious, which according to him explains the latest struggle of words between Pristina and Belgrade, Periscopi translates.
Furthermore, the Kosovo writer has sought partnership with Serbia, rather than continuing the conflict. He has cited the possibility of investing German giant Wolfgang in Kraguyevc, Serbia, saying that such a thing would have to support even the neighbouring countries of Serbia, including Kosovo, as they could benefit themselves economically.
Surroi has rejected the idea of correcting the borders, which he believes to be at its core, has to do with exchange of territories and people and that it dates back to the 19th century. He has praised incumbent Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj as never before, saying he is educating President Thaci.
Asked by the Blic newspaper if you see President Thaci as Montenegro's Milo Djukafovic, Surroi has given this answer:
No, Milo Djukanovic is much smarter and more capable. Thaci does not have a particular vision -- namely, not the democratic vision of building society -- and if he draws the best as he attracts the reverse, then Kosovo would be very pro-operative. ”
Surroi has also spoken of the Special Court and a host of other topics. To read the interview, click Here.
