Airport spokesman Steve Coleman said four passengers were taken to the hospital after the plane landed on Saturday, about 5.35.
One had a broken leg, and the others suffered injuries, wounds, and cuts.
Coleman says most travelers have been treated within the airport.
The New York City Fire Department said on Twitter that all the injured, two of whom children, had suffered life - threatening injuries.
