The Sheriff, said that in one of these works, he has been approved to the former member of the Kosovo Telecom Board, Osman Ejupi, who is a member of NISMA, but as he said, Ejupi is not part of this party, nor has he ever been.
He said the Initiative, Ejupi, has only supported it as an expert and nothing more.
“The employment issue is like theatre rectification, where light falls. It's all about the member of the board who hired a family, I've been expecting a lot to have Osman Ejupi declared that he's not a member of the Initiative, but he didn't, and all the approval he did hasn't done by asking the Initiative, nor by the consent of the Initiative. That person wasn't in the Initiative. The initiative has supported it as an expert, since he has not declared it I am saying ... Even other parties have supported that person to keep it on board”, the Sheriff indicated.
According to him, Naser Shala, also another controversial person in Fatmir Limaj's party, is the son of Haxhi Shala's uncle, but who is not a member of NISMA.
“Naser Shala of the Property Verification Agency is not in NISMA. Haxhi Shala has an uncle, Naser Shala, but it is not NISMA. I also have family at other political parties. Naser Shala has been made MP by single vote. It is listed in the government's three nominees and has come to the Assembly, not a case of nepotism. Shala has been selected by 50 separate voters”, the Sheriff stressed about Telegrafi.
As the deputy Sheriff said, any employment is done based on Kosovo law, and each should be employed according to meritocracy and not because he is a member of a political party.
Any employment is done by law. People who are employed come from political parties, but there are differences. Being a member of a political party should not be given priority. We know that being members of a political party is a relief, but it's good to see those who get hired or deserve it. You can't be employed if you're in a political party, but you need a meritocracy”, the Sheriff said among other things.
Unlike early March, Osman Ejupi, after employing his four family members in Telekom, has resigned from the Kosovo Telekom Board.
