Romanian authorities confiscated more than a ton of cocaine of first quality, hidden in a boat that was overthrown on the Black Sea coast.
The amount of cocaine worth 300m euros would triple after the market exit, as it would blend in with other substances.
Investigations so far indicate that drugs had entered the country across the sea from South America.
Romania should be a transit country, and cocaine would be sent across borders by car.
According to local media, narcotics was in some bags. Two Serbian citizens have been detained in connection with the event. Prosecutors follow investigations in co-operation with authorities in Belgrade.
