SASKU again threatens strike, this time for time compensation

Seeing that a portion of the education and school directors have begun to add pressure to teachers for the compensation of lost hours, the SBASK has been officially addressed to the heads of Kosovo municipalities, suggesting that dialogue should be chosen, not pressures and orders, as under pressure only [...]
Seeing that recent weeks have become a major disorder of the educational process in several Kosovo municipalities, Mr. Bytyqi's opponent for replacing hours lost during the strike, The SBASK as representative of the education workers of your municipalities based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, the Law on Union Organisation No. 04/L-01, Law on strike No. 03-L-20 and the SBASK Status, as well as the Kolektive Education Count signed by August and SBASK, in 18.04. 2017, we feel an obligation to address you with this letter in view of all the directors of education are appointed by you and normally for their work to report to you. Also, school principals had to report municipal levels. In recent days, a portion of them have undertaken a campaign of pressure by teachers to force them to replace the hours lost during the strike and rely on the decision of the MPAT, which the SBASK ruling has disputed and sent to court to assess its legality because we rightly assess it is the unbased decision, since no law or legal document issued by the Republic of Kosovo, nor does the international law exist which says the hours lost during the strike must be replaced, aside from that.
SBASK says that if this pressure on some communities continues during these days, but even during spring break, then it can announce a general strike calling for the withdrawal of the decision to replace hours as well as responsibility towards those who have exerted pressure.
“This strike can produce other lost learning days, in addition to the 15 days lost during strike”, warns the SBASK.
