In this case, on the part of this commission, it has been requested that, despite explanations, hours should be compensated and that one should be given a 1-week union time to sit down and decide on the continuation of teaching and next Saturday teaching begins.

The minister of education, Shyqi Bytyqi, has backed that requirement, stressing that in the event of failing to comply with the decision for compensation, all legal measures will be taken.

And the SBASK chairman, Nundman Jashar, initially determined that the compensation of the hours would not happen. But then he demanded that the minister withdraw his decision, and after discussions on the Steering Council, all the teachers would agree that the decision be made humanly and morally or that hours be replaced.

Commission Chairman Ismajl Kurteshi, citing the education strike that has occurred, said losing hours, despite the compensation that may occur, would be bad for the quality of teaching and students themselves.

In spite of that, he voiced firmly how the commission they have considered that this compensation should occur despite any explanations that can be found.

Among other things, he sought responsibility for such losses, as he described them to be great.

“We as a commission have considered that replacing classes should occur despite explanations that one can find, if the lesson is not replaced but the students are missing”, he said.

While, Minister of Education, Science and Technology Education Awardy Bytyqi said that

They've done everything the strike won't last, but it hasn't been up to them to raise the cofficients.

According to him, after discussions with all sides, they have managed to find modalities to compensate for lost hours in the form they've presented in public.

The distributed five days on weekends, five days on spring break and five days after the completion of the lesson has been the best solution, we believe it is a good decision”, the minister said.

Minister Bytyqi said this decision should be implemented and that on the basis of discussions with all the DKA directors in all municipalities have come to terms that hours will be compensated.

On the other hand, for all who do not respect this decision, he said that relevant measures will be taken.

The SBASK chairman, Nundman Jashari, had criticism of the commission members, according to him, through what is being asked, trying to dim the role of strikes.

As Jashar says, the strike law shows what the strike is, it does not expect to compensate for hours that took place during the strikes.

PSD deputy Driton Caushi voiced fierce accusations against SBASK Chairman Nundman Jashar, calling his statements unfair and arrogant that the union he is running does not intend to compensate for the lost hours.

He had a request to make a decision on a moral obligation to compensate for the hours.

For AAK deputy Teuta Haxhiu, all representatives of the Council of Teachers of Kosovo have supported the decision to compensate for lost hours during the strike.

The “call for this meeting has been to find a solution and keep teaching”, she said.

Selecting hours for replacement requested and PDK deputy Luljeta Vesela-Gutaj.

Despite the initial statements, however, the SBASK president, Nundaman Jashari, demanded that the minister initially withdraw his decision and then be called the Steering Council and the morally and humanly teachers decide to compensate for the hours.

On the other hand, Minister Bytyqi said the decision is legal and voluntarily, he demanded that the SBASK be declared, supported or not by the compensation of the hours.
