MP PSD, Dardan Moliqaj has warned that unless a member of them is selected in the CEC, as was previously warned, then the issue will be sent to the Constitutional Court.
According to him, changing President Hashim Thaci's stance without giving an explanation presents a case that there may be interventions within or outside.
Moliqaj asked the prime minister or speaker of the assembly to seek the interpretation of the Constitutional Court on the issue.
We, like the PSD, have consistently considered the president's stance to block the CEC unfair. However, in December this president has made the decision that each parliamentary group will have one member in the CEC. We've sent, waited for a decision by the president, and made no decision on changing the pre-trial stance. We believe that on the basis of the constitutional interpretation by meeting a member of the CEC”, he said.
