He has also visited the bridge, which continues to remain closed for vehicle circulation, while Serbian List Chairman Goran Rakiq has told him that the bridge will not be opened until the border is defined between the north and south, according to the 5th provision of the Brussels Agreement.
US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costett has stayed on Saturday in northern Mitrovica. He has been hosted on the main bridge of Ibri by Serbian List leaders, by President Goran Rakic and Deputy Chairman Igor Simiqi, to then jointly continue to walk the streets with full Serbian flags and symbols across the bridge, which still continues to remain closed for the flow of vehicles.
Ambassador Costet has even received Rakakic's confirmation and pledge that the Ibër Bridge will not be opened until the border is defined between the two municipalities, which, according to Rakic, is precise at 5th point in the Brussels Agreement.
Ambassador Costet is then sitting down with Rakiqih and Sikh to drink coffee in the garden of a café, from which Serbian music was heard and the flags of Serbia were waved. Without any symbol of the state of Kosovo in that part Ambassador Costet has shown any signs of enthusiasm and has not spoken much, Zeri writes.
In a communique of the Serbian List sent to media north of Mitrovica, the US ambassador is said to have been hosted at the main bridge of Ibri and that the visit to the north has been made at the request of the Serbian List.
