He came to Switzerland as a three-year-old, as he aims at deputy office in one of Switzerland's most important cantons. Statovci is an Albanian businessman who is running as deputy in the Cyril Cantonal Parliament, in elections to be held in March of this year. Arbela Statovci, who is part of the party FDP Die Liberalen has already received support from many Albanians around the world.

In an interview for albinfo.ch, Statovci has shown that the desire to contribute to her country moved her to politics.

I want to return something to my country. Not just in terms of taxes, but with my knowledge and experience. But most of all, I want to shape my future. And everyone has to do this, at least by voting in Parliament, says Statovci.

The possibility of becoming an MP in this canton, Statovci sees it as an opportunity for change. It says that if chosen, it will work among other things for improvement and awareness in climate, educational, labour, and, above all, for creating and promoting a diversity.

Support for this candidacy, besides Albanians, it has also received from other citizens of Switzerland, who have been told that it will trust the vote.

Statovci has also received media attention outside Switzerland's borders, as readers offer him support from far away.

If I choose, I will do my best. I want to give something in my country, and I am convinced that I can do much to reduce prejudice, build bridges, and connect different cultures. I want to be an example, for people and especially for our youth. I want to inspire others through my devotion. Because the way we see and perceive the world is shaped by our experiences. Let's be better. Let's be a model. Let's live the diversity”, she says.

Beyond the political business, Statovci became active in the field of art. Recently, she was in her homeland in Pristina, where she won the “Best Diasporas Storyx1> award for best film carried out by phone, a film that speaks of life, her work and challenges in Switzerland.

Despite the fact that her career was built in Switzerland, she says if given the opportunity, she would return to her homeland to make Kosovo a better place.

I would join politics in Kosovo, yes. I would like to help my homeland to be a stable country where youth do not want to leave, a place where youth has a future and perspective, where older people get a good pension. Make it a place where innovation takes place, where investments are made, where jobs are created, where education gets a bigger and stronger focus. It is shameful that Kosovo wants to take people out of the country with many potential and knowledge. This is called brain drain, says Statovci.

Statovci says he has not faced many challenges during career construction because, according to her, Switzerland offers many opportunities, and all you need is will and work.

But it has an encouraging message for Kosovo youth who are leaving the country because of the challenges they are facing.

You should use every opportunity that comes your way, even if it's not exactly what you imagine. Because one way leads to another. Nobody comes knocking on your door. We have to do it ourselves, says Statovci through albinfo.ch.

Who is Arbela Statovci?

Arbela Statovci was born on 25 February 1988 in Pristina. At the age of three, she moved to Switzerland with her family, where she also began to build her career. Bachelor's studies were started in communication science, and his master in economic science. A year of schooling was conducted in Australia, and is already the owner of the company Massgekocht. AG.
