David Meates, chief executive of the Health Board at Canterburgy, said that two of the injured are expected to be released today from the hospital, but that 31 will continue training.
There's a four-year-old girl at the Starship Hospital in Auckland among 9 people in critical condition. Her father has been transferred and remains in serious but stable”, he said.
He also added that the attack had deeply influenced the hospital staff in Christchurch and said they need support over the coming days.
