He has received support from 31 political parties to run for North Macedonia's president.
Pendarovski, after receiving support, said it is an honour and responsibility and that on 21 April and 5 May, when he is voted for president, it is not about his political career, but about an integrated European state and all citizens.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said Pendarovski is the best selection and that he will be the next president of Northern Macedonia.
He, meanwhile, said current President Joerge Ivanov should never have received a mandate to be president of the country, as he misused the mandate and spread hatred among citizens.
Zaev cautioned that there is a state that has resolved no agreements with Greece and Bulgaria, and now should focus on working with honour and responsibility, and that no one should be won at the expense of citizens, writes Alsat m.
