Doctors experts at the QKUK Clinic of Gynecology have recently performed over 1,000 different types of operations because of health complications presented in women.
During January, 535 surgical interventions have been conducted, while during February 479.
Work efficiency has increased, following investments in operational halls, which have been equipped with modern equipment by the Ministry of Health and the Kosovo University Clinical Hospital Service last year.
The chief of operating halls in Gynecology, Zef Ndreja, says work in the operating department is being carried out faster and easier, with less complications.
Of course, the equipment has increased efficiency, especially security and complications, as well. The approach to work is easier. Reanimation is faster. The work is done much more comfortable”, he said.
To increase the quality of services, the Gynecology Clinic, in August of last year, has been equipped with gynecological-operative tables, operational lamps for all halls, a heteroscope, a laboscope, and a lillus (altrastrasonographic bipolar).
Chief nurse Zajo Ibrahim-Rama, speaking of operating halls, states that the new device has been of great help to staff in the operation, performed earlier in inappropriate conditions.
It's a lot easier now, since these new devices came in. For both us and the operators, but it's much easier for patients, everything goes smoothly”, Ibrahim-Rama said.
On the other hand, Nazanne Berisha, hospitalised after the operation, says he has received adequate medical treatment. It also discusses conditions in the treatment decision, while it says that it is hard work at QKUK.
“The operating table was very high, bed as well. I didn't fall long for surgery. So, so far, everything's been fine. I've personally proven that this is being worked, what someone says is not working on, are rumors”, Berisha points out.
Otherwise, for years this clinic has operated on old devices that have made it more difficult for medical teams in operating halls.
