Kosovo Police, the Directorate for Trafficking in Human Being Investigation (DHTQNJ), in co-operation with other relevant institutions, such as the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Labour Inspectorate, ATK, Pristina municipality and Fusha Kosovo inspectors, have organised an operational plan for inspection of locals, massage parlors in the municipality of Pristina and Fusa <1x> M A BRAZIL 2019”
This inspection has been done in order to prevent all criminal acts, early identification of potential trafficking victims, as well as fighting all kinds of informality.
Results from this operational plan carried out in February and March are:
A total of 48 locals have been inspected.
211 workers/e (180-F and 31-M) have been legitimised
Foreign citizens 20 employees (11-Albanians, 6 Thai, 1-Italian, 1-Romanian, 1-Macedonian)
Also, in these locals, five women under the age of 18.
In two separate cases it has resulted in a criminal offence or obligation to prostitution as well as the use of prostitution establishments, where a total of 9 suspected persons (8-Name and 1-man Albanian) were arrested.
The competent inspectorate has closed 22 locals.
In 2019 the DHTNJ has identified three cases of prostitution wrestling as the arrest of a total of 11 suspected persons.
Kosovo police through the competent directorate will continue with the implementation of such operations at other locations as well.
