Newest mothers in Europe are Albanian women

According to a recent publication by Eurostat, Albanian women are Europe's newest mothers. The average age of mothers for the first time in Albania is 26.1, the youngest in Europe along with Bulgaria. The lowest average age was marked in Bulgaria, just like in Albania, followed by Romania [...]
The lowest average age was marked in Bulgaria, as in Albania, followed by Romania at 26.5, Latvia 27.1, Lithuania 27.5 years old. In contrast, the average age of mothers for the first time was over 30 in Italy at an average age of 31.1, Spain 30.9, Luxembourg 30.8, Greece 30.4, and Ireland 30.3.
While compared with the region, Albania has a marked difference in the age of mothers for the first time. In Macedonia the average age of mothers for the first time was 26.9, while in Serbia 27.8.
According to “Monitor” in 2017, the total number of births in Albania was 30896, of which birth for the first time was 12,918 births. About 10.8% of these births were performed by girls under 20 years of age, which means that Albania is ranked among countries with the highest percentage of teenage mothers, after Bulgaria and Romania, in which the first-time births by teen mothers were 13.8% and 13.9% respectively, albinfo.ch records.
About 72% of births for the first time were performed by mothers belonging to age 2029. Meanwhile, 16.1% of these births were performed by mothers belonging to the age of 30-39. Albania, on the other hand, has the lowest birth rate for the first time from mother over 40 years of age. They made up about 1% of the total births for the first time in 2017.
For every 100 births during 2017 in Albania, 45 were born for the first time, 36 were births of the second child, 13 were the birth of the third child and only 4 were born after 3 children.
