As in Albania, Kosovo and all Albanian trains, today marks March 7th Teacher's Day, which is a culturally important event where everyone remembers the first teachers of Albanian letters.

On March 7, 1887, the first Albanian teacher opened in Korca. Her first teacher and director was Pandeli Sotiri.
