So said Avni Kastrati of the Kosovo Statistics Agency. The one in Puls of KTV has said that Kosovo is expected to have 1.4 million residents for 15 years.
According to him, natural growth in 2031 will be zero, as births and deaths are expected to be equal.
He has also provided statistics for citizens who have left Kosovo. According to data he published, some 900 thousand Kosovars have fled the country from 1968 to 2017. In the last six years alone, some 180 thousand people have fled and 50,000 have returned.
Mimoza Dashi, a university professor, has said that the latest census has not been done properly. In 2011, about 600 thousand citizens were not registered.
