Hoxhaj reacts to Ahmeti: Do not sit on that level, meet with Mogher in Brussels not with her advisers

Hoxhaj, in Debat Plus at Tv Dukagjini, has said his criticism of Ahmeti and Limaj's visit to Brussels has been principled, not because he has not been taken with him by co-chairs at those meetings.

I said it principledly. We're stuck with domestic tax decisions and in such a situation I don't know what the purpose of going to Brussels is. Even at the last meeting, speeches have been heard about how taxes have blocked dialogue. I don't think the negotiating team should sit on that level that meetings were held with Frederick Mogher's advisors. Every team meeting should happen with Mogher and no one else. The mandate we've been given in the House doesn't allow us to sit at the table with a consultant. When I was a foreign minister, I met Mogher, not her advisors. I don't have a reaction to my going or not. The decline in levels in such cases should not happen. In fact, the adviser they met with is seeing it as not as a field professional”, Hoxhaj said.

The deputy prime minister said two days ago he did not know why the co-chairees had gone to Brussels, while dialogue was blocked by taxes.

Hoxhaj said such meetings are unnecessary and makes no sense if there is no unity in Kosovo.

“I don't have the information why they are there, such meetings may be unnecessary if we're not unique in Kosovo We need to address the process of dialogue we have to give a decision on the tax issue”, Hoxhaj said.

These statements, today, had been responded to by the state delegation's co-chairman for dialogue, Shpend Ahmeti.

Ahmeti has said he cannot comment on why Hoxhaj has not gone to Brussels.

He has said it is not his question to comment on why PAN has chosen Fatmir Limaj, not Enver Hoxhaj, as co-chairman of dialogue.

I now rule to direct the personal issues the coalition members have between themselves or even Mr. Hoxhaj himself. The team has two co-chairers, if they expect 5-6 people to be wrong at any meeting. If PAN has chosen Mr. Limaj to be co-chairman, not Mr. Hoxhaj, it's their case. We've usually gone every week to prepare the process, this time it's been platforms, we've officially submitted it, we've informed them of the passage of the Dialogue Law. Of course for Brussels, it continues to require the removal of the fee as a deterrent to the” dialogue, Ahmeti has said.

The delegation's two co-chairmen for dialogue with Serbia, Fatmir Limaj and Shpend Ahmeti, have travelled to the European Chief Centre in Brussels in order to hand over the dialogue platform which last week was voted in the Kosovo Assembly. / P ERISCOPIA
