Republika Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has reacted after the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security statement, Federica Moghrini, which from UN headquarters in New York, called for Kosovo to lift its 100% tax. “Let me thank each and every one of you for the constructive approach of members [...]
“Let me thank each of you for the constructive approach of Security Council members to dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. For the full resumption of talks, tariffs imposed by the Kosovo government on Serbian products must be removed. The day this happens, I will immediately call a new meeting for dialogue, in order to reach a legally binding agreement that will address all outstanding issues and bring about the full normalisation of relations between Pristina and Belgrade”, she said.
Meanwhile, Haradinaj through Twitter has reiterated his stance that dialogue between the two states has emerged from the tracks before the introduction of the tax.
“Encouraging the territorial exchange proposal and failing to implement existing agreements. These are the reasons. The dialogue could and should continue unconditionally on tariffs”, it has indicated.
