Ordered, Kosovo Security Force soldiers lit flares symbolising the start of the Jashari family's resistance to Serbian occupiers. While numerous citizens from all of Kosovo's trains were seen at the memorial bearing the name of the legendary commander, Adem Jashar, to honour his work and his family.
Arberesh, from Italy, Shefqet Yashkuri, relates that he has been in Prescaz for three days just to honor the Jashar family work. According to him, this is holy land not only for the Albanian nation, but for all humanity, as he says, if we want to know how freedom is won, then Prekazi is the right destination.
Yashhur: If anyone in the world wants to learn how freedom is won, they have to come to Prekaz.
I live in Italy, especially to honor the Jashars, the greatness of the nation, the legends of the nation. I wanted to come 23 years ago, to be there to find Adam Yasar on the mountains, who brought freedom, along with all his family, all the real Kosovars. But I didn't raise her purpose. He's been in Prekaz for three days now. For me this is holy land, not just for us, but for the whole human world, because if anyone in the world wants to learn how freedom is won, it should come to Prekaz”, he said.
