Erdogan commented US President Donald Trump's statement that sovereignty over Golan must belong to Israel, calling it a “gift” to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before the April 9th elections, Reuters reports.
In his speech to the Organisation for Islamic Co-operation, the Turkish president said conquest of Golan's height should not be legitimised.
The six-day Arab-Israelian war of 1967, also known as the June War, headed between Israel on the one hand, and Egypt, Jordan and Syria, on the other.
At the end of the war, Israel put the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula, the West Coast, and Golan under its control.
