The Kosovo Energy Transition “has been the topic of discussion at the conference organised by the Institute for Development Policy.
INDPS Executive Director Burim Ejupi has said the power transition is not only about production but also about exploiting it.
While Economy Development Minister Valdrin Luka shows the ministry's four goals he leads have said energy remains one of the main challenges in the country “The main challenge in Kosovo is the energy sector, including all activities in the country and we still have serious problems in this sector.
The ministry's four challenges that I lead are energy supply, energy prices, environmental protection and private investment establishment and the creation of new jobs”, he has said. ”
Luka has added that the country has worked on renewable energy. Kosovo is doing well in terms of renewable energy, but still has work to do”, he said.
He also added that there will be feasibility studies for gas with two neighbouring states.
“The feasibility study on gas has begun in Albania and will also be conducted with Macedonia that would help reduce environmental pollution”, he said.
