British anti-Brex voters who want their country to stay in the EU should not be betrayed, European Council President Donald Tusk has said.
Tusk has declared that millions of people who have signed the petition to revote Article 50 or who have marched against Brex during the weekend may feel that “are not sufficiently represented in the United Kingdom Parliament”, translate Periscopi.
He has added that it is the European Parliament's duty to represent these people who disagree with Brexit, “because they are European”.
These comments came after EU leaders agreed with the United Kingdom's request to postpone Brexit to a meeting in Brussels last week, and further opened the door for further postponement and participation in the EU elections.
