Mr. Braho, in an earlier interview, you said that Sali Berisha was recruited by the secret foreign services and continues to be in service. Definitely. Sali Ram Berisha was initially recruited by Albanian Security and selected the nickname “Penicilina”. I have written evidence of former State Security officer Ali Anadol, who recruited Sali as an agent in 1967. The year is important, since 1968 Saliu has been accepted as a member PPS for the high devotion it has shown. In his report State Security operative Shkodrani Ali Anadol, who has recruited Saliu in English, writes that in 1962, Sali Berisha came to the University of Tirana at the Faculty of Medicine.

After completing his studies, he was held at the Tirana hospital as a cardiologist and later as a cardiosurgeon. At this time he prepared documents to join the party. One of his brothers, named Selim, had a friend to Tropija branch chairman Idriz Shehu. He asked Idriz to help his brother join the party. Idriz answers that under the conditions of Sali Berisha (with problems in his family's biography), to be admitted to the party, he too had to help the State with special services, so he had to meet and think if he agreed.

After meeting with Saliu in Tirana and having received his approval, his brother (who is not alive today, after dying from the heart, and who was the only positive person among them) returned to Tropoja. Thereafter, the request to enter the party was approved. Sali Berisha was well studied by state security, and accepting his recruit was linked to his great career ambition.

At the time, it was a rule that the file of the framework co-operating with State Security was not preserved on the County Executive Committee, but by the Director at the Ministry's Internal Affairs Directorate. When he came to power, not in vain, Sali Berisha put the former director in prison in the ministry, Zef Loka, an honest man who had greatly helped Sali Berisha solve any family problem. And how did you conclude that it was recruited by UDB or other services?

This operative has date and concrete evidence. It presents a normal written report on his work. It belongs to Sali Berisha to denie but the bag has evidence to deny these. But I'm sure he won't. Let's get back to history. During this time (before the 1990s ), Sali Berisha faithfully applied PPSH teachings until he became secretary to the PPSH hospital organisation. At this time, symptoms of a mental illness began to appear. Because of this illness, he has been sent by the Party for Medicine to Austria. The disease was monitored and cured by his psychiatrist Ylvi Vehbiu.

At a time when the Party took initiatives to help northern areas of doctors at a meeting held with the hospital's collective, Party Secretary Ilir Gjalbegu demanded that Ylviu's candidacy not be included in the transfer. When clarifications were asked for the cause of this recommendation, Ilir explained that Ylviu should stay because he did not have to oversee Sali Berisha in his illness. This “ex1> cost him a lot after 25 years of trial when Sali Berisha became president of the DP and president of the country. The president removed Judgebeg from his profession for three years and needed the intervention of friends so that this doctor, the best specialist in Albania, could be brought back to work.

For the second part of your question, Sali Ram Berisha marries Freedom Rexhep Rama. Rexhepi, after the country's liberation, and several other students were sent to Yugoslavia for studies at the Institute of Exercise. When relations with the former Yugoslavia broke down, all students returned to Albania immediately, while Rexhepi returned after several years.

In Yugoslavia, Sali Berisha's father-in-law, Rexhepi, withdrew in co-operation from the UDB. The fact that Milica's sister, Rexhepi's aunt of Freedom and Sali's future mother-in-law, was during the OZNA officer war (the predecessor of UDB) and after Yugoslavia's liberation, UDB Colonel, backman of Rankovic and his operations for the extermination of Albanians. Her son (the son of Freedom Aunt) during the war in Bosnia was Milosevic's economic adviser.

Mr. Braho, during our conversation before the interview, compared Berisha to Esat Pasha. The comparison seemed excessive...

Sali's file on his anti-Albanian works is much worse than that of Esat. I feel like Esatin is making him worse than she is compared to Sali.
