Republicana from Arizona said she had not reported rape because she felt ashamed and confused.
I haven't spoken for many years. But later in my career, when the military was facing scandals and the way they were facing it was not appropriate, I felt the need to show some of my colleagues that I was a rape survivor, McSally said before the Senate for Armed Services.
Reports of sexual harassment and abuse in the U.S. Army increased by about 10% in 2017.
