American Oda requires that appointments to high public positions be based on professionalism

In this regard, the American Oda expresses its concern over the decision of the Republic of Kosovo's decision to appoint the new leadership of the Kosovo Agency for Comparison and Verification of Property in opposition to the recommendation that has followed a transparent and meritocratic process of recruiting.

Despite the support offered for the public recruiting process, Kosovo continues to face appointments to public leadership positions, individuals who do not have the necessary professional expertise and do not demonstrate behavior in accordance with law and higher ethical standards”, said a communique of the American Economic Office.

Therefore, the American Economic Oda in Kosovo expresses its deep concern over the fact that Parliamentary MPs supported their decision in nepotism rather than professionalism, so they urged them to assess meritocracy rather than political ties, for the good of Kosovo citizens.
