Vetevendosje Movement Chairman Albin Kurti says elections in Kosovo are very necessary.
He has cited several figures showing that implementing social rights protection laws in Kosovo is flawed.
“Every third Kosovo resident has a difficult access to health care, while every fifth does not require services even in case of illness, for economic reasons. The mortality of babies in Kosovo is fourfold higher than the average in the European Union. Every ninth child in Kosovo works, while only every eighth woman has a job. Kosovo has 34 social protection laws, but little is implemented”, writes Kurti on Facebook.
Kurti says our country does not suffer from bad laws as much as bad power and weak institutions.
“Investments in developing economies have declined, as corruption among public enterprises has increased. State institutions are the answer to society's needs and citizens' rights, not the chance for private and party interests. Change is not a choice now, but a vital need. So the new elections are so much needed”, the VV's chairman wrote in the end.
