The Kijevo-Kline- Zahaq Department of the Pristina-Peja Highway will not expand on the current route, KTV reports.
The segment will be passed on to private properties and 60 per cent of them is fertile soil.
From the data provided by the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, the rest will be passed on forest land.
Lawmaker at the Faculty of Agriculture, Imer Rusinovac, says these lands should be more protected from road projects.
Lands are classified from category 2 to 6.
According to the professor, this shows that they have high values that result in great productivity of the cultures that are sown.
Their destruction is not being welcomed by the Mulity Association. These lands, they say, have been planted with grain and corn for years.
In the Ministry of Infrastructure, they refused to declare themselves before the camera, because the project was not done along the existing route.
By means of an electronic answer, experts have said that the transmission is preceded by experts to cross agricultural land.
“The Ministry of Infrastructure has not changed transfers, but has developed pre-arranged projects for the remaining segment, this is envisioned by field experts. This is a set of rules and standards for auto-building. All expropriation procedures have been completed and the parties' complaints are under way, but will not influence the development of this project, very important for the Dukagjini area, as a corridor linking Kosovo with R6 and R7, Corridor V. III and X.
Silver Zeynep- Senior Adviser at the Ministry of Infrastructure
The government has decided last month on the launch of the land expropriation process passing through this segment of the Peja highway Pristina.
