5 American Presidents who made nepotism by employing family members

Kosovo has too much trouble with nepotism because of its extremely strong family character in our society. This phenomenon seriously strikes meritocracy and the effectiveness of public institutions.

But Kosovo is not the only country in the world with such a problem.

In the US, there are serious accusations against the current president, Donald J. Trump, for nepotism. Although, for this matter, the charges have not been dropped even in the past.

5. Donald Trump

The current president of the United States, Donald Trump, has named his daughter along with the groom in high roles at the White House. His daughter was offered the role of a free assistant to the president.

Her husband, Jared Kouchner, has the post of senior presidential adviser. The Department of Justice, although some experts had said it was against the US Ethics Code, had estimated that his role does not violate anti-nepotism laws, writes Periscopi.

4. Woodrow Wilson

Family marriages of this kind were common at that meal. However, there is doubt that Franklin chose his bride to approach his favorite cousin.

However, this is not as much like nepotism.

His children's roles at the White House are problematic. The boy, James, became his secretary in 1937.

Maybe more important than James was his daughter, Anna. Although she had no official role in the Roosevelt administration, she was actually serving as the first lady for the two years of his father's presidency.
