Kosovo has too much trouble with nepotism because of its extremely strong family character in our society. This phenomenon seriously strikes meritocracy and the effectiveness of public institutions.

But Kosovo is not the only country in the world with such a problem.

In the US, there are serious accusations against the current president, Donald J. Trump, for nepotism. Although, for this matter, the charges have not been dropped even in the past.

5. Donald Trump

The current president of the United States, Donald Trump, has named his daughter along with the groom in high roles at the White House. His daughter was offered the role of a free assistant to the president.

Her husband, Jared Kouchner, has the post of senior presidential adviser. The Department of Justice, although some experts had said it was against the US Ethics Code, had estimated that his role does not violate anti-nepotism laws, writes Periscopi.

His role is very important.

4. Woodrow Wilson

When Woodrow Wilson named white primacy William McAdoo as secretary to the treasury, it wasn't as surprising as most members of his cabinet were racist by the South. But nobody even reacted when McAdoo fired most of the new workers.

Strange as the general feeling was seen when he married Wilson's daughter only a year after his appointment in office. McAdoo even resigned, but Wilson turned it down.

Wilson is considered one of the most teachers for the constitutionalisation of Albania's citizenship, even a whole Albanian town bearing its name in honour.

3. Franklin D. Roosevelt

Although achievements as president are not lacking, the famous Roosevelt also placed his family in important positions within the White House. He greatly admired fifth cousin, President Theodore Roosevelt, even marrying Teddy's favorite niece, Eleanor.

Family marriages of this kind were common at that meal. However, there is doubt that Franklin chose his bride to approach his favorite cousin.

However, this is not as much like nepotism.

His children's roles at the White House are problematic. The boy, James, became his secretary in 1937.

Maybe more important than James was his daughter, Anna. Although she had no official role in the Roosevelt administration, she was actually serving as the first lady for the two years of his father's presidency.

2. Bill Clinton

Hillary Clinton is involved in nepotism issues. She was accused of taking advantage while her husband was in Zyren Ovale. Bill Clinton had named him the task force chief for health reform and was indicted for violating anti-nepotism laws.

Many law experts believe Hillary's position was a conflict of interest and that it conflicted with anti-nepotism laws. The court, however, had said that anti-nepotism laws were not applied to the workers of the White House, setting a precedent that continues today, Pryscopy follows.

1. George W. Bush

When George W. Bush took office as president, his family rushed to public office and not only his own but also family members of his supporters.

The list is too long: Senator Strom Thurmond's son was appointed judge for South Carolina, Colin Powell's son, Michael, became director of FEC, son of Antonin Scalia, Eugene; Bush Labour Secretary Elaine Chao, was Senator Mitch McConnel's wife; the daughter of then-president Dick Cheney became deputy secretary of state. And more and more.

Nobody even tried to hide these appointments. /Periscopi
