In conversation with Deutsche Welle, Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Zoran Zaev over the border change dispute between Kosovo and Serbia stressed that after resolving the Northern Macedonia problem with Greece, the issue of Kosovo and Bosnia now remains the issue as problems that need to be resolved.
This is why we support any solution and promote co-operation, guarantee peace and move our agenda forward and it is EU integration. And that is possible. I'm not going into details, because if one of the neighbouring countries comments on the details, this could turn into a problem. This is the issue between Belgrade and Pristina, I believe, that they will find a solution. I hope for a positive and friendly solution, and I want to help both the presidents and their governments. ”
As asked, if there may be consequences for opening up the border change issue for Macedonia as well, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said “now they can only dream of changing northern Macedonia's borders. We are NATO members. There will be no border change in northern Macedonia. We are safe and (membership in NATO) gives us that assurance. ”
Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Zoran Zaev in conversation with Deutsche Welle stressed that our “common goal is EU integration, in the Schengen area and the opening of borders. To be at a common European border, this is the most important thing. If we think in this regard, we must act that way. Finally, we must stop thinking that the world has begun to exist with our nations. No. We can all be more ambitious, showing more solidarity, helping each other out for a better life, we all have one life. And much depends on politicians. If we put aside nationalism, we will be more Europeans and live more a European life. ”
