To revote the 100 per cent tax on products originating Serbia, international pressure, and private pressure from the United States, writes today “Koha Ditore”.
Ambassador Philip Costett has warned in case authorities in Pristina ignore the request. He has paved the need for quick action, as he stressed there is a moment in the dialogue the US believes can bring the comprehensive Kosovo-Serbia agreement.
And, Serbian authorities refuse to participate in dialogue, as long as the tax is in force.
Haradinaj also faces the request of the Democratic Party, the main partner in government, to act on the US requirement. Kadri Wessel, chairman of this party, has even warned that he will leave the government in case reports with Washington are hurt.
But Haradinaj has not backed off from staying, despite the threat.
