“Of course, (the military deployment) is option”, Trump said during an interview for CBS.
Trump said that months ago Venezuela's president, Maduro asked for an appointment, but he refused.
The United States has been known as Venezuela's leader Juan Guaido, who has been declared acting president of this state on January 23rd.
Tens of thousands of people in Venezuela are protesting the Maduro government, demanding that it leave power.
The United States, Canada and key states of the region, including Brazil, Colombia and Argentina, have already expressed their support for Guaidon.
Other countries, including Russia, which have close military ties with Venezuela's socialist government, support Nicolas Maduron.
Maduro, who came to power in 2013, after Hugo Chavez's death, has been criticised because of human rights violations and the way he managed the economic crisis in the country. (REL)
