Serbia will not accept US President Donald Trump's proposal for recognition of Kosovo, the Metro newspaper broadcast.
According to the Belgrade press, Belgrade also rejects the platform for Kosovo talks, which as the ultimate goal of dialogue means recognising Kosovo, naming the American chief of state's proposal as the hypocritical “” of “perfid”.
“Belgrade will not accept America's perfect proposal to know Kosovo, which hypocritically in the U.S. President Aleksandar Vucic's day of citizenship, has made his colleague from the US Donald Trump”, writes “Vecernje Novos”, referring to anonymous sources.
Under the US “Unseemly References ) Serbia rejects the request of the Trump”, this newspaper, close to Serbia's state leader, says that “this call from the White House, as well as the scandalous platform adopted in Pristina”, Belgrade sees “the action was synchronized”.
The aim of this action, the Belgrade newspaper estimates, is for Serbia to bring in “thin ice so that by the end of the year they can recognise the false state, while in return the accelerated path to the EU and open option for NATO membership.
Let's remember that President Trump wrote to Hashim Thaci on the day he wrote to congratulate the 11th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence the letter also wrote to the Serbian president on the day of Serbia's citizenship.
The United States remains firm in your sacred effort to deepen regional co-operation. Especially on the issue of normalising relations with Kosovo”, writes President Trump's letter.
“A historic agreement, with a mutual accession essentially, would build Serbia's path towards economic development and EU integration”
