The country's president, Hashim Thaci, has made a recent Facebook post about his recent meeting with the Albanian-American community, writes Periscopi.
Thaci has said such meetings are fun for him, and that he has talked about the past, the present and the future of the country.
“Line and independence, when we needed it, our U.S. activists had an international mission.” adds it further.
This is Mr. Facebook Thaci:
Meetings with prominent activists of the Albanian-American community are always a pleasure. With New York City Municipal Council member Mark Gjonaj, as well as other Albanian-American friends, today we talked about our country's past, present, and future. Freedom and independence, when we needed it, our U.S. activists had international missions. Now, two decades after the liberation and more than a decade after independence, their mission continues, but this time to strengthen and integrate into the large Euro-Atlantic family. On behalf of the Republic of Kosovo, the Albanian-American delegation today thanked him for the continued assistance they have given to our state and our people. HTH”
