Republic of Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has met with US Ambassador Philip S. Costett, while discussing various topics of mutual interest.
Thaci has stressed that friendship with the US is permanent and essential for the realisation of strategic goals for integration into Euro-Atlantic structures.
Kosovo and the United States share common values, principles and goals. In this case, our common goal is to build lasting peace and stability in Kosovo and the region as the precondition for the development and prosperity of our country. The key to peace is reaching a peaceful, comprehensive and final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia”, President Thaci has said.
The president and Ambassador Costet agreed that the vitals are to remove all obstacles to continuing dialogue with Serbia and pave the way for the peaceful agreement.
“Partnerity and friendship with the United States of America is vital to Kosovo. Kosovo has come so far thanks to the overall support of the United States”, President Thaci has stressed.
