Republican negotiators and those Democrats have met this Monday in an effort to reach agreement about border security and the avoidance of another government blockade.
They have so far been divided over the ban on undocumented immigrants and promised financing for the border with Mexico by President Donald Trump, writes BBC, broadcast Klan Kosova.
Trump has said this Monday that “is dependent on Democrats” whether to make agreement or take responsibility for the new “shutdown”.
The preliminary blockade has lasted 35 days and has been longer in US history.
Congress must pass legislation by Friday before the current federal financing agreement is concluded.
The previous “Shutdown” ended on January 25th, after lawmakers agreed to negotiate.
