College of surgeons representative Arber Morina has said they are highly revolted and humiliated with the Law of Pays adopted in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
Morina stressed that surgeons still hope they will have access to the governing structures.
We don't have anything new. The strike continues, and at today's meeting we have decided that the strike will continue at the same pace, we are hoping and we believe that we have access to leadership structures, what we can change further. We have the same demand for fixing the cofficiency. We are feeling extremely tired, frustrated, humiliated, frustrated with the direction and course the last law has taken with charlatanism and deals that have been made in parliament. We're very revolting”, he said.
Meanwhile, last week the Kosovo Assembly with 62 votes for, none against and 1 abstention has adopted the Bill for Salaries.
Otherwise, there have been 43 days today that surgeons at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo (QKUK) have entered the strike.
